This is a program for children in years 4-6 at primary school. The Ignite Plus program encourages children to participate in various activities which are fun, based on themes and include service. Small groups and / or  devotions are held at the beginning of every session. Kids have the oppotunity to ask all the things that “itch” their brains about God, Jesus, and what on earth it has to do with them!

Ignite Plus runs fortnightly on Fridays from 4.00pm – 5.30pm throughout the term. (Please refer to the relevant schedule by contacting the Child & Youth Coordinator.)

NOVO 2015: Unlikely Heroes

Date: April 17-20, 2015

Venue: Cornerstone College, Mt Barker

Novo is the exciting state-wide camping program run by Blueprint Ministries for young people in Years 7-12. The Novo weekend is a a great opportunity to meet other young Christians from across the state. It is a packed weekend with priase, worship, small group discussions, and plenty of awesome games and activities.

The theme for Novo this year was ‘Unlikely Heroes’. Each worship time Pastor Reid would speak on the stories about unlikely heroes in the bible including Joseph, Esther, Mary, and Jesus. He would share each of their super powers and how they could apply to our lives. The main bible verse this year was ‘God is always at work in you to make you willing and able to obey his own purpose’ Philippians 2:13. This really helped capture the purpose God has for us and how we need to be willing to do what God has planned for us AND be able to act upon it.

Worship was a great highlight of the camp because you were able to connect with the message on a different level because it was about what you could do now to become closer to God. After worship you would then go into small groups and discuss and unpack the message deeper. These times were great because you were able to get many perspectives on the message and you were able to ask questions on the parts you didn’t understand. My favourite part of the camp was interacting and make friends with people who shared the same passion as you. Novo is a great camp to strengthen your faith in God and to make long-lasting friends.
